Super sweet chocolate orange with creamy mouthfeel, an underlying note of stone fruit & orange zest with a lingering spice on the finish.
EQ Seasonal Espresso Blend v.10 – A SPICY WINTER WARMER
Taken from the idea of an audio equaliser on an old-fashioned amplifier – the key to this blend is balance.
A deliciously well rounded cup with great body, pronounced acidity & above all, BIG sweetness.
This is the 10th version of the seasonal ‘EQ Seasonal Espresso Blend’ and is always roasted from the freshest crops available at the time of year.
Sticking with a 3-bean structure once again, these three great & contrasting coffees all shine & bring a huge amount of character & complexity to the cup once again… Something we enjoy in our most refined espressos.
This is not a conventional approach to espresso blending as we look to utilise brighter, sweeter & more characterful coffees than you might find elsewhere.

BRAZIL FAZENDA ARACACU (Natural)
It’s been a while since we’ve found a Brazilian coffee that delivers enough fruit & complexity to provide the perfect base for our EQ Espresso blend. But this natural lot from Fazenda Aracacu located in Tres pontas, Sul de Minas owned by Psychologist Carmen Lucia Chaves de Brito and
her Family was a stand-out. Predominantly made up of Red & Yellow Catuaí, Red & Yellow Bourbon and Mundo Novo, this relatively small 190 hectare farm is led by Carmen and her siblings in pursuit creating some of Brazil’s best specialty coffee. This delicious coffee brings wonderful raisin & vanilla fudge flavours that give way to a lingering port-like character on the finish with notes of cocoa & clotted cream.
MEXICO HACIENDA SANTA ROSA TEOCELO (Washed)
Its rare to find a Mexican coffee that gets us all genuinely excited in the roastery but this Cup of Excellence winning microlot from ‘La Hacienda Santa Rosa’ in Veracruz was an absolute winner on the cupping table. Owned by Olivia Hernández Virues & her husband Ranulfo Lara Pérez, this 115 hectare farm produces fabulous washed & honey processed Typica, Bourbon, Mondo Novo, Caturra & Costa Rica as well as recently introduced rust resistant varietals such as Marsellesa and Oro Azteca that are full of vibrant & juicy tropical fruit flavours, bright acidity & syrupy toffee-like mouthfeel.
RWANDA SIMBI (Washed)
The Simbi washing station is located in the Huye district of the southern province and services 1,475 smallholder coffee farmers who all grow high quality red bourbon. Constructed in early 2013, the mill is privately owned by Abdul Rudahunga, who was inspired to get into the coffee business by
his grandmother & his first year of production, achieved an incredible 9th place in the Rwandan COE Program. This coffee brings a warming & rounded orange character to the blend with a balanced yet pronounced acidity, with hints of cranberry & nutmeg spice.
