Established in 1970, the Kiajibbi Estate and Washing Station are owned and operated by Rioki Estate. The history of the Kiajibbi farm stretches back to 1911, when it was first planted with coffee by a British settler.
Located at approximately 1,600 meters above sea level in Kenya’s central highlands, Rioki Estate benefits from ideal growing conditions for specialty coffee. The estate partners with around 3,000 smallholder farmers and primarily cultivates SL-28 and SL-34 varieties—renowned for their exceptional cup quality. All coffees are processed using the fully washed method, resulting in a vibrant and juicy profile that embodies the classic characteristics we seek in Kenyan coffees.
Kenya AA represents the highest grade of Kenyan coffee, recognized for its large bean size and consistently excellent quality. The “AA” classification denotes the largest screen size in the Kenyan grading system and is often associated with a refined flavour profile—bright, complex and juicy.
